Khadi Masoor ki Dal Recipe
Masoor dal is good for diabetic people. Masoor dal also manages blood glucose levels. Dal masoor is beneficial for your bones because it contains vitamins, calcium and magnesium. Masoor dal is also known as Red lentils. Red lentils are a famous vegetarian or vegan recipe for Pakistani or Indians. You can serve dal with chawal (rice) or roti.

Ingredients

| Masoor dal | 250 gm |
| Water | 1.5 lit |
| Ginger garlic paste | 3 tsp |
| Red chilli powder | 1½ tsp |
| Coriander powder | 3 tsp |
| Garam Masala | 1 tsp |
| Turmeric powder | 1 tsp |
| Salt | 1½ tsp |
| Black pepper powder | 1 tsp |
| Tomato | 1 medium |
| Tamarind water | ½ cup |
| Oil | 2 tbs |
| Tarka | |
| Curry Leaves | 6-7 |
| Onion | 1 small |
| Cumin seeds | 2 tsp |
| Green chilli | 4 |
| Oil | ½ cup |
Preparation
- Take a deep pot. Boiled 1.5 lit water in it.
- Once water is boiled add spices ( coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper powder).
- Add Ginger garlic paste and weight for 30 sec.
- Add washed red lentils, Add 2 tbs oil and covered it till the lentils cooked perfectly.
- Once the red lentils/ masoor dal is cooked, put chopped 1 medium-sized tomato and covered with till tomato is cooked.
- Once the tomato is cooked well in masoor dal add tamarind water mix it well and cook for at least 1 to 2 minutes properly.
- Now, prepare Tarka. Take fry pan
- Add oil, heat the oil and add onion.
- Once the onion becomes light brown add cumin seed, green chillies, and curry leaves and fry them together.
- Once the Tarka is ready add the Tarka in dal
- Enjoy the dal in your lunch or dinner meal with roti or chawal.

Tips
- You should use boiled lentils for a quick way to cook.
- Must add a few drops of oil in boiled water with lentils it helps to boil water keeps in the pot.
- You should use a pressure cooker except for a pot for quick lentils cooking
